Capturing Love and Magic: A Fairytale Wedding at Tabiano Castle in Italy

Some weddings stay with you long after the day ends—and Adele and Alex’s wedding at Tabiano Castle in Fidenza was one of those rare, unforgettable experiences.

I had photographed their breathtaking proposal session on the Amalfi Coast a year earlier, and when they asked me to capture their wedding in Emilia-Romagna, I was all in—even with another wedding nearly 700 miles away the day before. The moment I saw Tabiano Castle perched above the hills near Fidenza, I knew I couldn’t miss this celebration.

Adele, a former Miss New York, carried herself with such warmth and natural elegance. Photographing her never felt staged—each frame came to life on its own. The ceremony took place in the magnificent Cathedral of Fidenza, an awe-inspiring space that added a sacred weight to their vows. From there, they made their way to the castle in a vintage car, arriving just as golden hour wrapped the stone walls in warm light. As a photographer, moments like this feel like gifts.

The entire event was flawlessly hosted and styled by Beyond the Gates, whose attention to detail transformed every space into something meaningful. From the ceremony to the late-night dancing, the flow of the day felt effortless, yet deeply intentional.

Dinner was served in the open air as the sun faded behind the castle. The table setup, lighting, and mood made every candid moment a dream to capture. Afterward, guests filled the courtyard for dancing beneath the stars. Shooting fast-paced movement in dim light always brings a creative challenge, but the atmosphere was so joyful, I couldn’t help but lean in and capture the energy as it unfolded.

The night closed with a fireworks show—bright, dazzling, and cinematic. Adele and Alex stood on the terrace as colors lit the sky behind them, and for a moment, everything felt suspended in magic.

Being part of this wedding at Tabiano Castle in Fidenza reminded me of why I love what I do. It’s not just about photographing a beautiful day—it’s about witnessing stories come full circle, capturing moments that people will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
